The Australian Rolfing Association was formed in 1998 to support the development of the Rolfing method of Structural Integration within the Australia-Pacific region. It remains associated with The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration, Boulder CO, which was founded by Dr. Ida P. Rolf, the creator of the method. To become a Certified Rolfer and use the Rolfing® service mark, students must have completed intensive course work in anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, have demon-strated ability in hands on work such as massage or physical therapy, and have the maturity and sensitivity to work with people using this method.
