Senior Lecturer Occidental Medicine

The College delivers a full suite of accredited Bachelor programs in natural health across the country as well as many registered Vocational Education programs, to over 6,000 students overall.
The Role
Operating within Naturopathy, Nutritional Medicine or Western Herbal Medicine, your role will encompass coordinating and teaching in VET and undergraduate programs of the department. The Senior Lecturer plays a key role in ensuring subject/program materials and delivery of materials remain current, consistent and with a focus on continuous improvement.
Working closely with the Program Leader, the positions primary responsibilities include:
•Coordinating teaching for the department
•Liaising with sessional teaching staff and students
•Teaching in VET and higher education undergraduate programs within the department
•Contributing to course development and accreditation
•Taking care of the human resource matters and functions of lecturing and tutoring staff
Your Profile
To be successful in this position, you will ideally meet the following criteria:
•Degree qualification in a relevant area and a postgraduate qualification in a related area or related field
•Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Education
•Extensive experience in VET and/or tertiary level teaching including the design and development of new courses, delivery and teaching groups with diverse cultural backgrounds.
The Location
This position is located at our Brisbane campus in Fortitude Valley
The Reward
This position attracts a remuneration of $55,000 to $65,000 plus Super plus Employee Benefits.
