Position: Reception

Position Mission—
“To make a great first impression on all Focus clientele and make people feel welcome and valued. To provide accurate and thorough administrative and customer service support to the Focus Team. To assist in the maintenance of a clean and impressive environment for all patrons”

Basic Requirements—
• Free criminal record and furnishing of referees.
• Actively involved in a regular exercise program
• Previous experience in customer service roles
• Literate and Basic Maths

Skills Required—
• Excellent People skills
• Basic knowledge of the Health and Fitness Industry Product.
• Good communication skills—high standard of writing, spelling, listening skills, speech and diction, empathy, judgement and problem-solving ability.
• Great attention to detail and highly organised
• Proactive and hardworking
• Ability to work as an indivdual and team member

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Must exhibit enthusiasm for the Club, its members and fellow staff.
• Must have a positive attitude towards the rosters, placing the requirements of the centre before their own or individual wants.

Education and Experience
• High school diploma generally required
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
• Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications

Duties—
• To open and close the centre securely and safely
• To open and close till accurately
• To accurately record all enquiries in shapenet
• Answer telephone, screen and direct calls
• Take and relay messages
• Provide information to callers
• Greet persons entering organization and make them feel comfortable and welcome
• Direct persons to correct destination
• Deal with queries from the public and customers
• Ensures knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization
• General administrative and clerical support including recording statistics
• Maintain retail displays
• Prepare letters and documents
• Schedule appointments
• Record all completed tasks in shape.net system
• Confirm next day appointments
• File member program cards
• Maintain appointment diary either electronically
• Tidy and maintain the environment
• Monitor and adjust music and air conditioning as required
• Keep necessary stationery and cleaning products stocked
