Watsu (Water Shiatsu), developed from principles of Zen Shiatsu, is a deeply relaxing aquatic therapy where movements combine gentle stretching with acupressure in warm water. Watsu is a passive treatment where the recipient is held and gently moved through the water. Rhythmic dance like movements are performed in harmony with breath to inspire the natural regeneration of the body and the mind. The unique qualities of Watsu make use of the lightness of the body in water to free joint movement, elongate muscles and encourage the free fl ow of energy.
